First Skateboard Jump Over the Stanley Cup
National Hockey League (NHL) players each get one day with the Stanley Cup after winning it. Florida Panthers' Finnish captain, Aleksander 'Sasha' Barkov, chose to spend his day with the trophy in Tampere, where he aimed to create a historic moment: Marius Syvänen performing the first-ever ollie over the Stanley Cup. Photographer Keke had the honor of planning and capturing this unique photograph alongside an incredible team.
As of 2024, the photo has been added to the Hockey Hall of Fame (HHOF) in Toronto, Canada.
A wall-sized print of the image is also on display at the Tahto Sports Museum in Finland starting November 29, 2024 and an official Finnish postage stamp featuring the photo has also been released of the photo.
